Campaign sign coming to yard near you..

-----------------------------------------------------------
McCain / Lieberman - 2008
Because America deserves a close race!
------------------------------------------------------------
Why anyone would want to touch Lieberman in any party is beyond me.

This is the kind of thing that might even make me vote for the Democratic ticket just to punish the other side for being so remarkably stupid.

Hyperbole acknowledged, I tend to agree.

And don't forget Lieberman is an awful awful campaigner - he got trounced by Cheney in the debates in 2000, his 2004 Presidential run was just embarrassing and he couldn't even win his own Party's nomination in CT despite massive outside support (including, ironically, Obama). If the Democrats run someone like Webb as VP they wouldn't have to worry about the undercard at all.

It's not going to happen though. Either way the VP has to be someone the GOP can unite behind in 2012. If McCain loses, the VP will be the heir apparent, if McCain wins there's a good chance health and age will limit him to one term anyway. I think Romney is going to try hard to be that heir.
