[...] Steve Clemons was one of the first to pick up on Secretary Rice’s political maneuverings, and I was one of the first, at least this year, to ridicule the idea of a Condi Rice selection for the VP slot. Here Philip Klein and I are in complete agreement for a change. It seems like a terrible choice to make, but I suppose Secretary Rice wouldn’t be where she is today if it weren’t for a series of terrible choices to promote her to higher and higher levels within the government. One barrier to another promotion is that voters will get to have a say in whether or not she gets the job. [...]

So, this amconmag website needs to desperately to be updated, as you can't even find the blog from the front page.

My guess is that it is comming up soon.

Also, are they heading towards some sort of "corner" style configuration, where people comment in a chatty style about the news of the day?

Could work...

I don't disagree with your analysis, but the "wife/wannabe" dig seems overly snarky to me.

It reminds me of suggestions that Tommy Franks should be considered as a running mate–it’s not going to happen, or if it did somehow occur it would be a disaster.

Of course it would be a disaster. That's a plus in trying to predict this race. At this point, I would be shocked if he chose a non-verteran.
