Well, folks, the time has come for me to take a break from this blog. I have too much on my plate, in the coming months, for me to be a reglar and useful contributor. In addition to my teaching — which is, after all, my job — I am in the latter stages of preparing two books for publication and, most stressful of all, getting ready to move from Wheaton, Illinois, where I have lived for twenty-eight years, to Waco, Texas. There’s not much time left over for blogging, for a while anyway. But perhaps I’ll be back someday.
Just in case any of you would like to know what I’ll be up to, here are
my tumblelog, which shall remain relatively active
Also keep an eye out for my essay in the new Books and Culture on Walker Percy and Carl Sagan (among other things).
Let me close by offering heartfelt thanks to Dan McCarthy and the other good folks to The American Conservative for preparing this space for me, and for keeping it warm while I’m away.
