We had our regular Walker Percy Weekend planning meeting this morning. I learned that the festival is, once again, completely sold out. Woo-hoo! I also learned that there will be gin fizzes at the party in the plantation ruins on Friday night, so yay for that.

I want to pass on to you some information about the Walker Percy Weekend tee shirts, shown above. These are exclusively licensed to the Walker Percy Weekend by the generosity of the Walker Percy estate. That is Dr. Percy’s signature on the front. You can’t buy these anywhere else. We’ve been selling quite a few via mail order, and are at the moment at which we are going to have to decide if we are going to order any more for the festival itself. If you want a tee shirt, and want to guarantee one in your size, now is the time to order them online. We will, of course, be selling them at the festival itself, but I want readers of this blog who will be coming to the festival to make sure they have their tee shirt(s) in hand, or at least reserved for pick-up.

If you don’t buy or reserve them now, we may not be able to accommodate you at the festival. Remember, we are a small, non-profit event, so we are operating on a shoestring budget. We can’t afford to stock too many of these things.

If you aren’t going to be able to come to the festival but want a tee shirt anyway — and of course you do — now is the time to order it. When they’re sold out, they’re gone, till next year.
