They are blueberries and cherries, dessert for a refreshing lunch on the road. The beverage, alas, is water.
One of the simple pleasures on long car trips is a picnic. It’s much more relaxing than a fast food joint. My wife and I talk of doing a book one day: “Destination Rest Stops of the U.S.” We find most of them quite pleasant. One use of taxpayer dollars we will never complain about.
