I did the same thing yesterday, and I ordered an extra sandwich just for the heck of it. I’ve had enough of these new puritans hard at work demonizing a family-owned company that is so fair to its many employees and so good to its many customers.
I remember last month, when Rod hated Oreos for being “political.”
When I lived down south I ate from them. I never got why people like pickles on chicken though. Regional tastes, go figure.
While I admire the moral stance of the obesity industry as against the fellatio fellows, I prefer to swallow the propaganda of neither.
Bravery – thy name is fast food chicken.
I love Chick-fil-A sauce. So incredible. I wish grocery stores sold it.
Ouch!

BTW, gay rights bullies? Really? Could you cite some examples?
I sent them an email of support, to counteract all the negative ones I’m sure they’re getting.
(Of course, I took the opportunity to ask them again to add a Lenten Friday-friendly menu item for us Catholics…)
They have delicious chicken nuggets. But it is the multimillionaire owner who is the bully, not the people who refuse to put up with his bullying. He’s just another guy who thinks because he’s rich, he can say whatever he wants without anyone disagreeing with him.Like most of the wealthy, he lives in a social bubble surrounded by yes-men. He’s freaking out right now because i don’t think he’s ever had to deal with a public rebuke in his life.
He didn’t seem too concerned about God’s judgment when it came to the president he supported enacting a torture policy, but these guys tend to be pretty darn selective about what they choose to have emotional outbursts over. He’s soused to being fawned over by everyone around him, that I don’t think he realized what he was in for.
The rank and file middle class gay people he freaked out about were the ones who’ve had to deal with bullying all their lives. This man has no idea how to deal with civilized society and behavioral norms.
Had my first Chick-Fil-A sandwich this year down in L.A. (they don’t have any stores up here in Seattle) and it was delicious! I didn’t think anything like that could taste so good. I now see why they’re so popular. Wish they’d expand to the Northwest.
Could you cite some examples?
Sure: Boston mayor Thomas Menino, who publicly vowed to prevent Chick-Fil-A from opening a restaurant in Boston, because of the company’s “discrimination” — even though Mr Cathy did not address homosexuality, gay rights, or gay marriage in his remarks in any way, and even though there is absolutely no evidence that Chick-Fil-A as a company engages in discrimination against homosexuals or anyone else.
The merest expression by a Christian, in an interview in a Christian publication, of simple loyalty to the Christian understanding of marriage — without any reference whatsoever to homosexuality — is enough for a politician to block the company from doing business in his jurisdiction. That, and not Mr Cathy’s relatively innocuous remarks, constitutes actual “discrimination.” Menino isn’t punishing Chick-Fil-A for actual discrimination (there isn’t any), but for its owner’s thought crime.
That damn Menino, forcing me to drive 15 minutes north of Boston to get my Chick-Fil-A fix.
There are some Chick-Fil-A’s in Nearest Major City, where I’m heading this weekend. I normally don’t do fast food, but I’ll throw a few dollars of support their way, maybe even an email as well. Good for them for standing up, though generally, I wish businesses would keep their noses out of political issues, and that the gay right folks would learn that It’s Not All About Them.

Um, right, but the mayor can’t block a business just by saying so. And again the owner isn’t just stating his opinion, he’s actually funding anti-marriage equality out of his share of the proceeds of the restaurant.

His opinion, HIS money. Not a company action, no discriminatory practices.
This is just another shot fired in the war to make everyone, and every business accept gay marriage as “normal” and to demonize and punish anyone who believes in traditional marriage. They appear to be winning.
Erin – I’ve seen a Chick-fil-A that serves tuna salad sandwiches during Lent
Amen. We’ll be eating there more as well. I’m glad some business will still stand up to the gay rights bullies. Cheers to the Cathy’s and to natural, traditional marriage.
