A celebrity edition of VFYT. That’s my pal the author Eric Metaxas, fondling his first-ever catfish poboy today. He was in town visiting, and I took him to Hot Tails, of course. It was so great to see Eric. If you’re in the Houma, La., area, he’ll be appearing there tomorrow night. If you haven’t read his No. 1 bestselling biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, what are you waiting for?

I had time to give Eric a very short tour of St. Francisville before taking him back to Baton Rouge for his engagement this evening. Here he is in the Grace Episcopal Church cemetery. No doubt that this is the Deep South!
