I have a backlog of VFYTs from you readers to get to — sorry, my own recent ones have bigfooted the rest of you — but I have to let this one to the head of the line. I received it just now from a reader:

I’ve been on my honeymoon for about a week and will be going to Paris tomorrow for the remainder, thru Sunday. We’ve treated ourselves every night, but last night’s was the most photogenic, if not quite the tastiest.

From Tours, cassoulet and boeuf Bourguignon, with AOC Chinon (cab franc).

Congratulations Chris and Martha! May you enjoy Paris. Might I recommend a few places to eat? Huitrerie Regis for raw oysters, Le Petit Pontoise for the foie gras (and, well, everything else), Le Bec Rouge for choucroute garni, Breizh Cafe for galettes and cidre, and Le Quincy for the chou farçi, and, of course, for the inimitable Bobosse. Oh, and breakfast at Eric Kayser.
