Mendocino, California
This was the breakfast table last weekend that our reader and his bride sat down to on their honeymoon, at the Agate Cove Inn. As Liz Lemon says, I want to go to there.

My wife and I honeymooned in Mendocino almost eleven years ago. Everyone wants to go there, or should.

It surely is beautiful. And rich in resources, and blessed with legacy social capital. And yet, for more than 20 years — with the exception of 2 years during the height of the dot com bubble — there has been net domestic outflow from the state.
We were just there in Nov during a warm spell & it was delightful. Mendo & its neighbour Fort Bragg have loads of good restaurants & there are many good wineries in the area as well. Northern CA has so much diversity in topography,climate,people – it has been richly blessed by nature.
