It’s Chinese New Year today. Happy Year of the Snake. Our reader writes that this  image isn’t exactly their dinner:

It was my ancestors’ dinner. (Okay, we did eat some of it later on.) We also burnt some gold-coloured paper so as to get some cash to my late relatives in the afterlife. Later on today we set off some fireworks and watched Celine Dion sing in Chinese (she was surprisingly good!)

Wish you good fortune and happiness for you and your family.

Likewise, dear reader! I wish I had been there with you to taste this delicious feast. Thank you so much for sending this photo in. Thanks to all of you who share views from your tables.
