It’s great news, for several reasons. For one, the residents and business people of the Zuccotti Park area get their neighborhood back from a past-the-sell-by-date protest that had long since ceased to serve any point other than the vanities of its participants. More importantly, it offers a face-saving opportunity for the Occupy movement to regroup and attempt to build a movement that is more broad-based, and therefore capable of actually changing things. Are they up to it? We’ll see.
