I thought you might be interested this picture.  I had a dozen students discussing your book this evening for an Honors Colloquium.  They all really seemed to enjoy it, and enjoyed exploring issues of your relationship with Ruthie, the importance of the idea of place, the importance of theology, and a number of other issues they took away from the book.  It was good time!  I try to do at least one of these a year on various books and other topics, and this is clearly one of the better ones.  I certainly didn’t have as much trouble getting students to talk as I have in the past.

This is so wonderful. Thank you, Prof. Dr. Reader. And hey, The Little Way Of Ruthie Leming is coming to Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Wednesday evening. Details:

Blogger, journalist, and author Rod Dreher will give a presentation on his best-selling book “The Little Way of Ruthie Leming” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in Todd Wehr Center 128 on the Carthage College campus. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

If you live in the area, I hope you’ll come to the talk, and say hello afterward. This’ll be my first time in Wisconsin, the homeland of Laverne, Shirley, cheese, Callista Gingrich, and Cosimanian Orthodoxy. I hope to see you there.
