This is great, just great. According to the latest National Hurricane Center Map, on Wednesday morning, the eye of the storm is going to be right over my house. Hoo boy. I think it’s accurate to say that I won’t be able to blog on Wednesday, at least, given the high likelihood of power outage. If the mobile phone networks stay up, I’ll be able to update the comments. Just letting you know now, so you don’t wonder what happened to this blog if things go silent on Wednesday and beyond.
Is That The Eye of Sauron? No, Isaac.

I sent up a prayer for you and your family. Do not worry about blogging!
-
Good luck to you all. We’re still dealing with the outer bands here on the East Coast of Florida. Isaac is one big storm!
-
Good luck, Rod.
-
You’re in our thoughts, Rod.
-
Good luck to you and your family. Stay safe!
-
Stay safe over there. Don’t hesitate to grab the beer and head west.
-
Yikes. Good luck, stay safe.

interesting; first it’s headed toward the GOP convention; then the rural abode of a crunchy con? what did you folks do to p*ss off Mother Nature? has Pat Robertson chimed in? seriously; be safe.

If you end up being inside the eye, take some pics or video. make a sandwich and do a special VFYT. it’s too cool an opportunity to pass up.
-
Rod, please post a few photographs (or videos) of the storm! We don’t have cyclones on this side of the ocean.
Good luck, BTW … I am sure you will be just fine.

My prayers are with you.

Prayers coming! Are you heading out to buy the gumbo ingredients?
-
We’ll be praying for you all, Rod.

Stay safe and think of us up here next weekend with the rain comes.
-
Cold comfort, but some people in the Midwest will be happy if the rain gets that far north.

I think Twitter is going to be the way to go here. Gov. Jindal is putting a lot of interesting information out there right now. And Brendan Loy is doing a nice job of aggregating all of the different reports.
Rod, maybe someone at TAC can embed your Twitter feed on this page. Tweets will be a lot easier to get out than blog posts.

Yeah, keep safe Rod.
-
Hurricane party! Don’t you wish sometimes you were still an undergrad?
-
Be safe. We’ll pray for the people of the Gulf Coast…again.

If you’re lucky/unlucky, Rod, you might get to see Quetzalcoatl aka Hurrican, the Feathered Serpent. That is, the round inner ‘wall’ of clouds in the hurricane eye flowing around you.
It’s good for a couple of conversion experiences.

I wondered whether you’d be posting about Isaac today. If I remember correctly, you’re not in one of the parishes suggested to evacuate, right? Keep yourself out from under falling trees, and come back to us safe.
Here’s the 5-day rainfall prediction, by the way.

Those of us living in places that are severely short on twin sure could use some of that hurricane, spread out. In the meantime, y’all stay safe. If you wind up getting interviewed by the media about the eye being directly over your house, give us a shout out. Oh, and do evacuate if they call for it.

Rain, even. (Ah, smart phones… )

Hope all of you in the Deep South can weather the storm without harm and send as much rain as you can up North to salvage what can be saved of the crops in those states.
-
Stay safe, Rod. Prayers for you, your family and everyone else to come through unharmed.

Stay safe.
