G.K. Chesterton on the Bayou
Are you coming to the Louisiana Chesterton Conference on March 7? If not, why not? I’m going to be there. I had decided not to go, because one of my shameful secrets is that I don’t know much at all about Chesterton. But Julie reminded me that I like and admire people who do know a lot about Chesterton, and that we need to be building community, and networks of folks who want to push back against the world as hard as it’s pushing against us. It’s a Benedict Option thing.
I thought about how a lot of people don’t know about Walker Percy, but they really ought to come to Walker Percy Weekend, because they need and want to know people who do love Walker Percy. Same deal here. So I’m in.
Details about the conference here. It’s in Ponchatoula, home of the world’s only life-sized statue of GKC.
