“I live in a state where I can buy marijuana down the street, but I can’t buy foie gras,” Sean Chaney, 45, chef and owner at Hot’s Kitchen, said in an interview at the restaurant. “There’s something fundamentally wrong.”

And NYC may soon be a place where you can buy a 40-ounce bottle of malt liquor, but not a 40-ounce Dr Pepper. Not that people should be drinking Dr Pepper. Vile stuff. National drink of Texas, though. I was dispatched yesterday afternoon to the store to buy two of them for She Who Must Be Obeyed, Y’all. But I digress.

If you are a foie man or woman, and you find yourself in Paris, be sure to go to Le Petit Pontoise and order the stuff. It’ll make you levitate. Don’t ask for Dr Pepper, though.
