Intern for The American Conservative
We’re now accepting applications for our fall internship. TAC interns get a little bit of experience with almost everything that goes into producing the magazine and website, from writing an article and blogging to contributing headline and story ideas in edit meetings to … making runs to the post office. Not every part of the job is glamorous, but it’s all educational. There’s a very small stipend, too.
The fall internship will begin in late August or early September. To apply, send a resume and writing sample to letters@amconmag.com.

I want the job, and you’ve seen my writing here!
I should like to be considered for the internship myself; but I imagine that my absence of American green-card-holding status – not to mention American citizenship – would fatally impede my own chances, even if the additional factor of my rather advanced age did not do so. Shades of Adlai Stevenson, who, having been given a rapturous reception in England after his second presidential defeat, observed: “The trouble with me is, I always run on the wrong continent.”
