plus ça change…

From a former jarhead friend now working in Afghanistan as a contractor:

About the only thing you really need to stockpile is patience because it’s a military/government project, where the sad but common saying is “f–k up, move up”. You’d be astounded at the incompetence and how deep and swift it can flow through here sometimes. You remember.

  1. Don’t we hear that least there are two things the Government does well: The Post Office and the Military?

The Post Office is in financial trouble, and Mr Dale’s post is certainly an accurate reflection of the way I remember the Military.

And yet the race-hustlers and the secret power-brokers would posit that Government can run our major Financial Institutions, the Health Care Industry, and in general regulate HOW MUCH WE USE, as in Cap and Trade/energy regulation/redistribution of wealth to “poor countries”.

Conservatism is between a rock and a hard place, because the Libs would seem to be driving us back to supporting those crooks who wear the GOP badges in Washington.

Time for some strict “contract with voters” before we send ‘em to Washington, and for some even stricter “contract with the folks” for after they are there.

Otherwise, “f–k up, move up” will be the epitaph of the current crop of Washington’s Denizens.
