C'mon, dude. Spend a bit more time reading and less time typing. Are you going to take a stand based on what someone said about what someone said, or are you going to go to the original source material and judge for yourself. So, Schachtman says this report is about hit squads? I went to the original report... here, let me leave a link for you so it's easier: https://jsoupublic.socom.mil/publications/jsou/JSOU09-7crawfordManhunting_final.pdf So, from the report, I gather that this Crawford fella, who has apparently been fighting for the country for much longer than Wired has been in publication...outlines a means to combat terrorists that might actually save lives. If I read the report right, the author is arguing that chasing down the bad guys pulling the strings of terrorism, piracy, organized crime and their ilk might be less costly than war, in terms of lives lost and dollars dumped. So, is this Team America? Sounds like a plan to me.
The same author wrote a book. See http://www.amazon.com/Manhunting-Reversing-Polarity-George-Crawford/dp/1604413328 Dare you to read it. I'm going to give it a look. Then I'll decide for myself if I trust WIRED magazine to make up my mind for me.
