Well, well, well. The US is looking more and more like one of those Banana republics the American public and media used to scorn. I guess evil deeds have a way to come back with a vengeace. Imagine all the bad will the US has accumulated on account of its wars. Imagine all the suffering, all the deaths and all the damnation flowing out of this.

Of Obama had a spark of manhood, or understood his constitutional role as Commander-inChief, he would have fired that little snake McChrystal immediately after his self-serving skit on "60 Minutes".

Despite the right-wing (war-party) conspiracy, which is real, given the fact that the Neocon nuts are pushing for more war by using lies and deception, the president is doing more than enough with Afghanistan. The position that the war-party takes now, whether or not people realize it, is to always push the idea that the president isn't doing enough for the war effort, when in fact he is doing enough.

By taking that position, the right-wing (war-party) simply does what it does best; it pushes for more war, always more war, meaning more troops overseas, more death and destruction, more severed limbs and casualties, more body bags. That's what the war-party does best because that's how they make all their profits.

Chickenhawk Goppers lying through their teeth to try and whip up some fauxrage for the MSM to 'report' on? Like they say, that's not a bug in the system, it's a feature.

But that quote from McCain is the stand-out for me. He “has never seen a disconnect like this” between the White House and military brass before? Really? I guess he must have been out of the loop back when Bush Junior shitcanned the general who told him he'd need hundreds of thousands of troops to successfully occupy Iraq. Either that or he's just flat out lying, again.

Still, I'm - sure - the 'Liberal Media' will press him for an answer when he's all over the morning shows being presented as an 'authority' on all things military and Middle-Eastern.

It's hard to agree with the "right wing" conspiracy characterization, since not one right winger in this publication agrees with the neocon warhawks. It sounds to me like conjuring a “conspiracy” is a tired, partisan effort to deflect criticism of a left wing President. If anything, the neocons are conspiring with the Administration. The criticism I’ve been reading centers on HOW Obama is waging our two wars (one good and one bad, apparently). They can’t criticize his devotion to waging war, because he’s been consistently reaffirming that since his famous not-so-anti-war speech-- long before he was the primary target of the blogosphere.

That being said, I do have to ask, "Is the President paying enough attention to the two wars that he is supposed to be commanding?" With his focus on winning passage of two domestic boondoggles, it seems he has overwhelmed his schedule rather than the system. He should really read a management book or two. (Bossidy’s would be good.) Does this guy know what’s happening from the ground up, or is he casting a lazy eye from 10,000 feet while he busies himself with pet projects?
