Barney said, “most conservatives…”, “tend to consider him (Pat Boone)… a joke…”.

Point being, Barney says, “If you make fun of Pat Boone, you aren’t making fun of conservatives”.

Part of the LIBERAL LIE – find something to belittle, spread the lie that it is representative of the group you hate, then predict that all that group will act like the exaggeration the LIB is belittling.

In 50 years, Pat Boone has never represented me politically, or religiously. I never made ANY comment about his music.

Admittedly “Love Letters in the Sand” and “April Love” were gag inducing, but “Moody River” is a classic. When singers think they can exploit their celebrity to say dumb things, they deserve to be put down, even if they are also “sincerely religious.”

Barney, I don’t know what your religious beliefs are but what part of the New Testament exactly does Boone and his buddies cite to justify the US engagement in a world wide war against Muslims to include torture? How do you justify it and where do you get off calling it conservative? It ain’t my conservatism, that’s for sure.

All your friends, on what we conservatives call the “hard left”, will agree with every word you have posted.

The part you leave out, of course, is that most conservatives that have known Pat Boone (through the media) for the last 50 years, tend to consider him politically a joke, albeit “well-meaning”, most times. He seems sincerely religious.

You Have our permission to make fun of him. But then that was not your purpose, was it? You were hoping we considered him an icon, so you could make fun of conservatives.
