Thank you for taking the time to mention the USS Liberty on the 42nd anniversary of that attack. There's been almost no mention in the MSM http://news.google.com/news?um=1&ned=us&hl=en&q=%22uss+liberty%22&cf=all&scoring=n , save for a blurb by the UPI in its 'Odd Almanac' and a few editorials/stories, some dealing with a new book that's out.

Whether or not this attack was deliberate (I believe it was deliberate, for the record), every American should know about this anniversary. Every American should know of these men and the heroic efforts they put forth to keep that ship afloat. That's the bottom line.

This case, the coverup by our government, and the outright silence by our media is the definitive proof that not only does there exist an Israeli lobby in the US, but that it has this country by the cojones.

Some of my relatives fought in the Battle of Somme, Battle of the Bulge, survived Pearl Harbor, Gallipoli, and Viet Nam. I can't imagine that they would be treated the way this government and our media treat the Liberty victims and survivors - simply on account of who was doing the attacking. It is unconscionable.

May I live to see the day when most Americans DO know of this case, and when those men aboard that fateful day are given the respect and kudos they deserve. And may justice prevail.
