You won’t catch Michelle Malkin setting aside partisan differences the way that candidates McCain and Obama did for yesterday’s  9/11 tribute. Malkin churlishly whined about the way that Obama placed his rose on a pile and cited a reader saying, “The first 30 seconds showed that Obama could not take the time to shake hands with the uniformed firemen (John McCain took the time) nor the construction worker with the American flag hardhat…He was painfully uncomfortable at this ceremony!” Except that you clearly see him on the clip talking to a woman and giving her what appears to be a comforting pat on the shoulder while McCain and I think, Bloomberg shake hands.

Is there any issue so trivial that Malkin couldn’t mine it for bogus outrage?

Glenn Reynolds linked, but added no comment. Robert Stacy McCain also chimes in.
